Richard Adler is the CEO/Managing Director of Philadelphia Triathlon, LLC, the leading multisport race production company in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Since joining PT in 2007, Richard has expanded the company’s event portfolio from its original signature event, the Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon (PHLYTRI), to include the fast growing SheROX Triathlon Series (8 all women’s events around the country) and the recently launched Ironman 70.3 Pocono Mountains.

Richard is a 30 year veteran of the sports industry, having worked with some of the most iconic brands and talent in global sport. His event experience ranges from directing the World Championships of men’s tennis at Madison Square Garden to producing a European tour of the Harlem Globetrotters with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, He has managed global sponsorship programs for Fortune 500 companies around major events including FIFA World Cup and the Olympics.

Richard is a graduate of Vassar College and New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon

Founded in 2005, the Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon has become recognized as one of the premier triathlon festival weekends in the country. The PHLYTRI features three days of activities including a Sprint Distance Triathlon, Kids Duathlons and Fun Runs, a Multisport Expo, and culminates with the showcase Olympic Distance Race featuring some of the best professional triathletes in the world. The scenic, challenging course, knowledgeable and dedicated race staff, and fun family atmosphere are just a few of the reasons the PHLYTRI was named a top-five triathlon in the United States by Outside Magazine and was lauded as one of the top big city triathlons by Inside Triathlon Magazine.
